PC Q and A HTML helper This script is specifically designed to work with Internet Explorer to help participants in the web based forum, PC Q&A, to include html effects in their posts. In addition to posting with plain text, this forum allows participants to alter fonts and font characteristics by using html tags but with modified rules for the html tags. As one example, angle brackets for enclosing tags must be replaced with square brackets. This helper script puts a new item in the IE context menu called “PCQnA_html” when you right click some selected text and then provides a user friendly form allowing you to doctor the text selection with html effects. The appropriate modified html coding is applied and the text plus tags is placed in the clipboard. Simply paste the clipboard contents over the original selection and all the tags are in place. The actual post in the form will appear the same as the user friendly form’s preview. This script may work on other forums with some or all features intact but was designed specifically for use at PC Q&A. The download contains the compressed folder, Fld4, which holds the files Install_PCQnA_html.htm, Uninstall_PCQnA_html.htm, PCQnA.htm, and ReadMe.txt.
